Mickey is a lifelong Delaware resident. He attended college at the University of Delaware where he graduated with a degree in Accounting in the Spring of 2003. Mickey began his career at our sister firm, Davis-Smith Accounting Associates, in the summer of 2003 as a Staff Accountant. He became a CPA in December 2008. Mickey currently resides in Milford, DE with his wife Martha and their daughter Caitlyn. Mickey enjoys watching baseball (Philadelphia Phillies) and has a passion for soccer (Arsenal and Philadelphia Union).

As a transplant from Pennsylvania, Kelly began her accounting career in banking. After moving to Delaware in 1997, she has worked for twenty-two years in public accounting for several large CPA firms in Kent County with experience focusing on tax management on both small and large businesses throughout the State of Delaware and tristate area. Kelly obtained her bachelor degree in accounting from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and is a member of AICPA and Delaware society of CPAS. In addition to her work in accounting, Kelly is an active member of Wyoming United Methodist Church and has served as their treasurer for over ten years, and a Vacation Bible School teacher. When not working, Kelly can be seen cheering for her four boys at their sporting events.

Sonja has been a member of the First State team since July 2014 following years of tax experience with a national chain. She specializes in tax return preparation. She takes pride in making sure that each client is taking advantage of every possible credit and deduction, while taking care to ensure that all tax laws (old and new) are being adhered to. Taxes can be very strenuous, but Sonja has the ability to soothe the most anxious client. She approaches every tax return with integrity and diligence. Sonja is personable and caring. She is the spouse of a retired veteran, understanding the unique tax situation of Service Member, Veterans and their Families. Sonja lives in Cheswold with her husband and "mini-me" her 12 year old daughter Larene. She also has 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren who she enjoys spending time with.

Flo is a graduate of Dover High School, and has over 30 years of experience in office administration and bookkeeping, specializing in small business operations. She enjoys getting to know our clients and providing support services to help them succeed. Flo resides in Camden, DE with her husband and daughter.
